By the resort’s speedboat

The shared speedboat leaves from Saigon Waterbus Station at Bach Dang pier and from Binh An waterbus station in An Khanh, on the Thao Dien side. It follows the resort’s timetable, so request it at least 48 hours ahead; extra guests and trips before 7 am or after 7 pm carry a surcharge.

Choose it if you are already in the city and want the arrival the resort is known for.
Skip it if you are coming straight from the airport with a lot of luggage — the car is simpler.

By car from Tan Son Nhat Airport

Grab, metered taxis and the resort’s own car all make the run from the airport. The resort’s car is a paid extra booked ahead; one booking-site listing showed VND 1,750,000 in October 2026. App and taxi fares vary with time and traffic, so check the quote before you set off.

Choose it if you land at Tan Son Nhat or travel with children and bags.
Skip it if it is rush hour and you are already near Bach Dang — the boat avoids the traffic.

The resort sits on the city’s northern edge, which puts the Cu Chi Tunnels at Ben Dinh 39 km away and Lai Thieu, known for its traditional pottery, within 5–7 km. Hoi Khanh Pagoda in Thu Dau Mot is 17 km. The resort can arrange a private car for these trips at extra cost.

Getting around from An Lam Saigon River

Carry both addresses

New: 21/4 Trung Street, Binh Hoa Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. Old: 21/4 Khu Pho Trung, Vinh Phu Ward, Thuan An, Binh Duong. Many apps and drivers still know only the old one.

Go into town mid-morning

Weekday rush hours, early morning and late afternoon, can stretch a 15-minute drive to 45 minutes or more. Mid-morning trips are faster, and the boat avoids the roads altogether.

Arrange the ride back before you leave

Boat times are fixed and evening runs carry a surcharge. Ask reception to book your return — boat or car — before you head into the city.

This is not a base for walking: there is nothing to stroll to from the gate, recent guests say the lanes in are dark after rain, and every trip to the city means a boat or a 30–45 minute drive. If you want to sightsee every day, spend your first nights in town and finish your trip here.

How long does it take to drive from An Lam Saigon River to the city centre?

It is about 14 km by road to Notre-Dame Cathedral or Ben Thanh Market. On an empty road that is under 20 minutes; at most times of day allow 30–45 minutes, and longer in weekday rush hours or heavy rain. Guests who would rather skip the traffic take the resort’s boat to Bach Dang pier, which the hotel times at about 25 minutes.

Is there a metro station near An Lam Saigon River?

Not within walking distance. The nearest stations on Metro Line 1 (Ben Thanh–Suoi Tien) are Thu Duc and Binh Thai, both about 10 km by road on the far side of the river. A car to the station and the metro into the centre is possible, but rarely quicker than driving straight in or taking the boat.

How far is An Lam Saigon River from the Cu Chi Tunnels?

The Ben Dinh tunnel site is 39 km by road, about 40 minutes in light traffic and often an hour or more; Ben Duoc is 52 km. That is closer than from central Ho Chi Minh City, so the tunnels make an easy half-day trip. The resort offers a private car for this at extra cost; ask for the price when you book.

Does the public water bus stop at An Lam Saigon River?

No. The public Saigon Waterbus runs between Bach Dang and Linh Dong in Thu Duc and does not stop at the resort. Its stations at Bach Dang and Binh An are, however, where the resort’s own speedboat picks guests up, so you may see the public boats while you wait.

Is parking free at An Lam Saigon River?

Yes. The resort has its own car park, and booking sites list parking as free for guests. Most international visitors arrive by the resort car, a taxi or Grab rather than driving themselves; if you are driving from the city, allow for narrow lanes on the final approach.

What is near An Lam Saigon River for a short outing?

Lai Thieu, 4.9 km by road, has a market, a church about 6 km from the resort and a long pottery tradition. Gigamall in Thu Duc is 8.8 km away and Landmark 81 is 12.6 km. Khanh An monastery stands on the opposite bank, 1.3 km across the water but 4.9 km by road. For anything here you need a car; reception can call one.

Can I reach An Lam Saigon River by road at night?

Yes, the resort can be reached by road at any hour; the boat is optional. Recent guests note that the lanes near the resort are dark and poorly lit after rain, so arrive in daylight if you can, and tell reception your arrival time so they can guide the driver if needed.
